Pygora ..... the tops in luxury!

This is just a sample of what you can make from decadently-soft, luxurious Pygora fiber. I used fleece from three of my goats: the caramel color is from Whistlekick Grace, the cream is from Whistlekick Scarlett and the grey/brown is from Whistlekick Contessa. I love how the colors compliment each other and add a bit of pizzazz to the scarf. And each color has a slightly different feel, but all three are soft, soft, soft and warm.

Clean Shaven

I love this time of year. Not only the little ones bouncing around, but shearing. It is so much fun to see how different the goaties look between full fleece and sheared. You'd almost think they were two different goats. This is particularly evident on Colene. Isn't she cute?

Water.........

Water is a necessity in life. Life cannot exist without water to drink. But when you are used to sweet, warm, rich milk, you are not very eager to embrace water - even if you are watching your mama enjoy the cool taste.
As you can tell, Sassy does not think much of it if her tongue is any indication.

And sister Samantha doesn't even want to taste it.

Toby just wants to blow bubbles and make rings in the water bucket. Drinking is the last thing on his mind. There is so much growing up to do - and it is so complicated.......

Girls and Jewelry

It's muggy today - the air so thick it is hard to breathe - so I am wearing capris. And, of course, an ankle bracelet (I love jewelry). This one is a carved stone and shell ankle bracelet that I bought in Hawaii years ago. Whenever I wore it, I remembered the great trip to Kauai. At one time, I gave the ankle bracelet to a dear lady when I found out that she had always wanted one. When she passed away a few years later, her family made me a gift of the ankle bracelet. So this one means a lot to me beside just the fact that I love jewelry.

Evidently, so do Samantha and Sofia. They followed me around the stall, ignoring the fresh grain and hay I put out. All they wanted to do was get that ankle bracelet in their mouth and explore it. It just goes to show that girls love jewelry - even when they are goatie girls.
